The Voice Behind the Studio: My Experience
Angie has been immersed in music from a very young age, stepping onto the stage at just four years old. What started as a passion quickly grew into years of dedicated study and performance, including solos, piano, group performances, and serving in worship. This shaped her lifelong commitment to singing and vocal development.
Formal study of vocal anatomy gave her a precise, health-focused understanding of how the voice functions, which she pairs with years of training under a professional vocal coach and study at Improvination, an advanced vocal training program covering a wide range of vocal styles and techniques. She spent six years studying piano, further strengthening her overall musicianship and musical understanding. She has developed versatility across multiple styles, including worship, pop, jazz, and contemporary music, allowing her to adapt her approach to different vocal settings with confidence and intention. Together, this training has helped her refine technique, expand her stylistic range, and approach different vocal settings with confidence and intention.
Alongside her training, Angie has spent seven years involved in worship, including two years in a leadership role. This has shaped not only her performance style, but also her heart for music, grounded in authenticity, connection, and expression.
As a vocal coach, Angie combines technical understanding, consistent training, and creativity to help students build healthy, sustainable technique, grow in confidence, and develop their unique voice. Her goal is to help singers feel confident, expressive, and connected to what they’re singing.
